Well, I had an okay Saturday, I have to to admit that I didn't eat the best, but I didn't over-eat either, so that's something. I did very well yesterday, however. I went grocery shopping and came home and made some soup and a sandwich and then prepped all of my veggies and I even made some chewy granola bars that I saw on the food network. This morning I left the house with my small tupperware filled with salad, a little 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, my tupperware of carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, my spray salad dressing, a banana, yogurt and granola. I feel like I'm overly prepared for any hunger that strikes! I have a photo shoot thing this evening so I won't get home until 8 or so and I'm going to go out to eat with Dave and I will pick something sensible and I will not eat it all. One of my new things is to make sure that when I eat out, I always leave something on my plate. The portions in restaurants are much too big. When I'm at home, I only put a small portion on my plate and fill the rest with vegetables. I can clean my plate at home if 3/4 of the plate is filled with vegetables.
I'm so happy that I have all of your support, I can't wait to watch our progress as the weeks go on!
My weekend wasn't the best - I slept most of the weekend because I wasn't feeling well. I didn't eat much (not good), but I didn't eat junk food either. Had only one bottle of water and no exercise. Still not feeling the best today, but ate a good breakfast - had only 1-1/2 bottles of water thus far today because I just feel yukky, but will drink one at lunch and try to get to four bottles by dinner. It's tough to stay on track when you're not feeling well....no excuses, though.
Well, my Friday was going good (took the stairs a number of times, drank 4 1/2 glasses of water, held in my tummy while I walked around Walmart, tuna salad sandwich for lunch) until I met Mike and we went to Red Lobster for dinner (and late on top of it). Saturday we took Mikie to his choice of restaurant for lunch (BBQ Pork), but rest of day was was okay, and we babysat the little ones, so I probably got a little more exercise, but not much water. Routine really helps me and that was shot. Sunday was okay eating wise also, but no exercise and not much water. glad to be back on the wagon today -- but only 2 glasses of water so far and haven't had to take the stairs. Won't be home until late tonight, but would like to start exercising. Proud of those of you who are doing better -- glad to see you join us, Mary Annie. By the way, my blog is Grandma L since I signed up to do Kris and Mike's blog with that name. Hope you are feeling better Kate.
